Have you always wondered, what exactly is Mac Pro? Why do they even call it ‘Mac Pro? I know I am not the only one. You see it on tv, you see it online, hell, you might even own a Mac Pro computer but still what is it? What makes it so different from a MacBook Pro or even a “regular” MacBook? Let’s find out.
What Makes A Mac Pro A Good Computer?
The Mac Pro line is a series of Intel Xeon–based workstation and server computers manufactured by Apple Inc. The Mac Pro, in most configurations and in terms of speed and performance, is the most powerful computer that Apple offers. Thanks to the next-generation Quad-Core Intel Xeon “Nehalem” processors and new system architecture, the Mac Pro now delivers performance thatʼs nearly twice as fast as before. Each processor features an integrated memory controller and 8MB of fully shared L3 cache. With blazing-fast 1066MHz DDR3 ECC SDRAM, high-performance graphics, a redesigned interior for easier expansion, itʼs the most advanced Mac Pro ever. Testing conducted by Apple in February 2009 using preproduction Mac Pro 8-core 2.93GHz units and shipping Mac Pro 8-core 3.2GHz units.
