The Best Keyboard App for iPhone Gets Microsoft Account Support

Microsoft has just released a new update for SwiftKey, which at this point continues to be one of the best, if not the best, keyboard app for iPhones.

Currently at version 2.1.2, SwiftKey introduces a feature that paves the way for bigger improvements possibly coming later this year after the release of the Windows 10 Creators Update for PCs.

The iOS keyboard app now supports Microsoft accounts, and albeit at first glance this doesn’t seem to be such a big deal, it actually is because it could be the first step towards a cloud clipboard that would work with Windows 10 PCs.

Microsoft has already promised to offer such functionality to have content synced between phones and Windows 10 PCs, and Microsoft Account integration is one of the prerequisites to make this happen. The previous version that was released to the iPhone also integrated a more advanced clipboard feature, enabling users to save multiple items and paste only the one they needed.
