The new 2017 iPhones will be unveiled next week as part of a press conference at the Apple Park, and while the September 12 has already been confirmed, little has been said about the name of the devices.
Just as expected, the rumor mill is full of contradictory information regarding the way the new iPhone models could be called, including variations like iPhone 8, iPhone X, and iPhone Edition. If these rumors are true, then Apple could launch an anniversary model alongside what everyone has until now called the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, two more subtly-improved devices that share the look of the existing iPhone 7 generation.
But a leaked final build of iOS 11, which will also power the new iPhones, finally puts an end to all the mystery, confirming the naming of the devices going live next week.
