20% of New iPhone Users Come from Android, Most Get Cheaper Models

A new research shows that the number of new iPhone users coming from Android reaches 20 percent every quarter, and most of them choose more affordable configurations and not necessarily the latest-generation models.

CIRP data reveals that many Android owners switching to iPhone are particularly interested in versions that are more affordable, mostly because they try to match the price point in the Android ecosystem.

The vast Android world is the home of devices of all sizes and price ranges, whereas iPhones are mostly sold with a premium price tag. This is one of the reasons Android switchers pick older iPhone models, which are typically sold for less than the latest generations.
