Now that Apple released the first Public Beta of its upcoming iOS 11 mobile operating system, there’s more evidence that wireless charging will come to iPhone 8 later this year when the device should be unveiled.
According to a recent report, it would appear that iOS 11 includes a new sound file called “engage_power.caf” that’s likely to be used to notify users when the iPhone 8 smartphone is placed on the wireless charging pad, suggesting that it could come with inductive wireless charging capabilities.
