iPhone SE 4 Likely to Be Upgraded to a 6.1-inch Screen

The demise of the iPhone mini has made the iPhone SE pretty much the only way to go if you’re interested in a smaller iPhone.

But as it turns out, this is likely to change in the coming years, as Apple is already planning to fit the iPhone SE with a larger screen.

That’s right, the iPhone SE is growing bigger, and according to a report from MacRumors citing Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young, the next-generation model will be increased to 6.1 inches.

However, the iPhone SE 4 won’t use the same approach as the company’s premium models. It will instead stick with an LCD panel and a notch at the top of the screen, therefore serving as a more affordable alternative to the more expensive devices.

At this point, however, it’s not yet clear if Apple plans to equip the upcoming device with Face ID (which would obviously be integrated into the notch) but this is very likely anyway, especially as a 6.1-inch display would essentially represent the en… (read more)
