A real test with all-day applications that pitted the iPhone 8 Plus against iPhone 7 Plus, shows that the new phone from Apple is actually slower than the previous generation.
While tests that compare new devices against the competition are usually fun and interesting, we have to keep in mind that a new device is also fighting against the previous generation from the same makers. The same is true whether your name is Apple, Samsung, or Google.
There comes the point where a user will decide if it’s time to get rid of the old phone and get a new one. So, if you have an iPhone 7 Plus you probably think that it would be good to replace it with the new version, the iPhone 8 Plus. You might want to postpone that decision.
