Apple iPhone 8 Could Record 4K Video at 60 FPS with Both Front and Rear Cameras

Apple’s HomePod firmware that got leaked not a long time ago keeps providing us with hints of features that might end up being offered on the iPhone 8, and now Portuguese site iHelp has discovered another line of code pointing to more camera upgrades.

It appears that Apple aims to upgrade the iPhone to 4K video recording at 60 FPS, and while this is an upgrade that many people saw coming on the rear coming, there’s something a bit more surprising.

The same improved 4K support could be offered on the front-facing camera as well, so on the iPhone 8, both cameras could offer the highest video resolution currently on smartphones.

At this point, the iPhone 7 series do offer 4K support, but videos are limited to 30 FPS and only work with the rear camera. The front-facing camera only offers 1080p resolution on the iPhone 7.
