Getting the iPhone X display right was quite a challenge, with the notch at the top of the screen said to have caused particular trouble to Apple and its partners, eventually contributing to the delay the device is currently experiencing in shipments across the world.
But despite taking longer to enter mass production, it turns out that it all happened for a reason, as Apple wanted this to be the best display ever created for a smartphone. And according to the experts at DisplayMate, this is exactly what it is.
The Samsung-built iPhone X screen “is the most innovative and high-performance smartphone display we have ever tested,” the research shows, with DisplayMate engineers congratulating both Samsung and Apple for making this possible.
While Samsung was responsible for the hardware part of the display, Apple contributed to its high performance with perfect calibration, they claim.
