Apple’s Fitness App Gets New Capabilities on the iPhone

If you have an Apple Watch, you probably know already that the Fitness app allows you to track your daily goals, set a custom Move goal, and then keep an eye on your progress throughout the day.

Furthermore, to make things even more challenging, Apple Watch users can share their stats with contacts.

And now Apple is making the whole experience available on the iPhone as well, as the Fitness app gets new capabilities on the smartphone, as the device can use its built-in sensors to track all the data.

Haptic feedback also coming to the iPhone

The whole thing will happen in iOS 16, which is the next major operating system update coming to the iPhone in September. A preview is already available for developers, while a beta build is projected to launch at some point next month.
