The iPhone X Has Not One but Two Batteries, Teardown Reveals – Video

The iPhone X is now shipping to customers across the world, and even though it’s quite an expensive device, one brave Chinese customer couldn’t wait any longer for an official teardown and decided to do the whole thing on his own.

The video you see below, which by the way is in Chinese, so you’re not going to understand much of it unless you know the language, shows an iPhone X dismantled piece by piece, revealing some interesting bits of information about Apple’s new-generation model.

The most discussed of them all is the battery. As rumored earlier this year while the iPhone X was still in development, the device comes with an L-shaped battery pack that Apple installed under the hood in an attempt to make the most of the available space inside.

A larger typical rectangular battery pack would require the relocation of some components, so what Apple did was change the shape of the unit in order to use the available space easier without altering the layout too much… (read more)
