Spotify Suspends Plans for AirPlay 2 Support

Spotify is a service whose userbase is continuously growing, and naturally, the parent company is working around the clock on bringing it to as many platforms as possible.

This is already paying off, as Spotify exists not only on mobile devices, but also on other smart devices and in the car, therefore letting users listen to their favorite music pretty much everywhere.

As part of these efforts to make Spotify available in as many places as possible, the parent company also planned to add support for AirPlay 2, which Apple introduced as part of iOS 11.4 back in May 2018.

Certainly, seeing Spotify not adding support after three years is a bit surprising, but what’s even more unexpected is that the company is now putting the development in this regard on hold.
