Samsung Controls Around 90 Percent of the Foldable Market

Samsung is by far the leader in terms of foldables, and new data published by TrendForce reveals that the company currently has a market share of nearly 90 percent.

This means that 9 in 10 foldables that will find a new owner in the fourth quarter of the year come from Samsung, once again confirming that the South Korean company is the clear pioneer of this product category.

Currently the world’s number one phone maker but expected to drop to the second place in the fourth quarter, Samsung will continue the foldable push next year when its market share could remain at record levels.

“Regarding the performances of the major smartphone brands in 3Q22, Samsung posted around 64.2 million units in device production, showing a QoQ increase of just 3.9%.
