Poor Early iOS 12 Adoption Should Be Worrying for Apple

Apple uses to brag about the about the adoption of its most recent iOS version occasionally, but with every new release, the number of devices that are being updated in the first days of availability drops significantly.

New data provided by Mixpanel shows this is exactly the case of iOS 12 as well, which was installed on approximately 10 percent of supported iOS devices in its first two days on the market.

This is a drop from 15.91 percent recorded by iOS 11 in the first 48 hours as well, which in its turn is another decline from the 20.20 percent achieved by iOS 10.

iOS 12 isn’t by any means an operating system that comes with limited availability, as it’s being offered to all devices that were previously supported by iOS 11. This means that iPhone 5s and newer are able to update to iOS 12, and what’s more, they should notice a substantial performance increase.

Worried about bugs
