Petition Calls for Apple to Sign Older iOS Versions and Allow Downgrading

iOS 11 has proved to be quite a software fiasco for iPhone owners, with a plethora of bugs reported since the first version landed in September 2017, including battery drain, app crashes, lag, and device freezes.

Unfortunately for users who upgraded to iOS 11, downgrading is no longer possible because Apple has stopped signing iOS 10 and previous releases, so iPhone users who’re not satisfied with the performance of their device on the current build of the operating system are not allowed to downgrade.

This is why a petition calls for Apple to sign all iOS versions shipped so far and allow users to downgrade, especially because the most recent releases substantially slow down older devices.
