Apple started taking pre-orders for the new iPhone 11 last Friday, and while the company no longer shares first-weekend statistics, analysts provide us with preliminary figures based on the demand recorded by authorized retailers.
In China, for example, the iPhone 11 is quite a hit so far, with e-commerce site JD.com claiming that demand for the new-generation models is almost five times higher versus the one recorded last year for the iPhone XS lineup.
The three top models are the midnight green iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 in black and purple finishes.
Citing data published by Chinese media for Alibaba’s Tmall platform, Reuters reports that demand for the iPhone 11 also increased by 335% versus the one for iPhone XR last year.
