Latest iPhone Update Resolves Actively Exploited Vulnerabilities

Apple rolled out new software updates earlier this week, this time for iOS, macOS, and watchOS, and in detailed support documents published on the company’s website, the Cupertino-based tech giant reveals that some security vulnerabilities are also being addressed.

What’s more important to know, however, is that these security patches are aimed at flaws possibly currently exploited in the wild, so users need to update their devices as soon as possible.

Apple says that iOS 14.5.1 and iPad OS 14.5.1 resolve two security vulnerabilities in WebKit, both of which may have been actively exploited, as the company explains.

First and foremost, it’s a memory corruption issue which the company says it has addressed with improved state management.
