iPhone 14 to Sport Massive Front-Facing Camera Upgrades

Apple has so far remained tight-lipped on everything related to its upcoming iPhone 14, but the closer we get to the September unveiling, the more information reaches the web via unofficial channels.

The most recent tidbits come from super-reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who says on Twitter that iPhone 14 models are likely to come with improved front-facing cameras.

The hardware upgrades on this front will be massive, Kuo reveals, as Apple apparently wants to improve the FaceTime calls and live streaming capabilities of the entire lineup.

“The front camera of four new iPhone 14 models in 2H22 would likely upgrade to AF (autofocus) & about f/1.9 aperture (vs. iPhone 13’s FF (fixed-focus) and f/2.2). AF support and a lower f-number can provide a better shallow depth-of-field effect for selfie/portrait mode.
