iPhone 14 to Ship With Old-Generation Chips

Apple’s next-generation iPhone is projected to go live in September, and while the company has so far remained completely tight-lipped on everything regarding this new device, people familiar with the matter indicated that some pretty big changes are coming to the lineup.

More specifically, Apple will launch two standard iPhones, namely the iPhone 14 and the all-new iPhone 14 Max, and two Pro models.

Apple is trying to make a bigger difference between the standard and the Pro devices, and this is why the company is killing off the notch on the latter in the favor of a punch-hole screen.

As a result, only the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Max will come with a notch, and according to a recent report from iDropNews, the standard iPhones will also sport the same chip as before.
