Here’s the iPhone X Thrown Into a Washing Machine for a Full Cycle

The iPhone X is IP67 certified, but even though it hasn’t yet reached the iP68 rating of the Samsung Galaxy S8, tests have shown that iPhones with the same level of water resistance do just fine when thrown into the water.

The 10th-anniversary iPhone makes no exception, and as you can see in the video below, it survives not only the typical water submersion test, but also more hardcore evaluations with flying colors.

The iPhone X can withstand staying in the water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter with no sign of damage, with a more extreme test that involves deeper water also causing no harm to the device.

The new ridiculously-priced iPhone X also survived being thrown in the water machine for a full cycle despite this involving not only physical shocks, but also possible water damage to the cameras and the display.
