Apple is expected to preview the next major iOS update at the WWDC conference next month, and one of the top improvements coming with this release is likely to be inspired by rival platform Android.
A report from Bloomberg indicates that Apple is planning to introduce a new keyboard option that allows users to type by simply swiping their fingers across letters, with the prediction engine taking care of the actual phrasing.
This is a feature that’s long been available on Android and, in fact, iPhone users themselves can try it out by installing third-party keyboard apps like Microsoft’s SwiftKey.
But if this report is true, then Apple is once again looking at the top Android features to improve iOS usability, after the company implemented tech already available on rival devices, like the wireless charging.
