UK-based video games publisher Feral Interactive, known for porting AAA titles to Linux, macOS, and iOS platforms, announced today their progress on the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided port for macOS.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is an action role-playing stealth video game developed by Eidos Montréal and published by Square Enix. It was initially launched in August 2016 for Microsoft Windows, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles, and was ported by Feral Interactive to Linux in November 2016.
The game features advanced graphics technologies, so the timing wasn’t quite perfect for Feral Interactive to make a macOS port then, as Apple made their Metal 2 API available to game developers during the WWDC developer conference on June 5, 2017, but they promised to port it as soon as Metal 2 API is out.
