Apple Will Let iPhone Owners Know Much Battery AOD Uses

The always-on display feature that debuted in the fall of the last year on the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max has long been a top feature request, especially because the same thing has been around for quite some time in the Android world.

As such, the release of AOD in the Apple ecosystem was received with much excitement by iPhone users, especially thanks to the upgraded capabilities that the company promised.

For example, in addition to essential information, such as the current time, the iPhone AOD also displays the wallpaper – I personally disabled this option on day one, as it would have an even bigger impact on battery life.

And speaking of the battery impact that AOD has on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, it’s pretty clear that despite having a 1Hz refresh rate, this feature still reduces the autonomy per charge.
