Apple Stops Signing iOS 13.2.2 Firmware to Prohibit Downgrades from iOS 13.2.3

Apple has stopped signing older iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 firmware updates for supported iPhone and iPad devices, prohibiting users from downgrading their devices from the latest software release.

It’s been two weeks since Apple released the iOS 13.2.3 and iPadOS 13.2.3 software updates, which introduced more improvements for background apps along with various bug fixes for the Files, Mail, Messages and Notes apps, so now that company has stop signing older firmware to prohibit downgrades.

This is something Apple does on a regular basis a few weeks after a new software version is available to make sure its iPhone and iPad users are always using the latest releases, but this doesn’t mean also the most stable. From what we’ve see iOS 13.2.3 and iPadOS 13.2.3 are quite stable for now.
