Apple Says iPhone X Exploding 'Definitely Not Expected Behavior'

Rahel Mohamad’s iPhone X was charging from the wall adapter via the original Apple Lightning cable after when it suddenly exploded. 

Mohamad started the iOS 12.1 updating process, plugged the phone into the socket for charging and, as he told Gadget 360, “Dark grey smoke started coming from the phone. The update was completed and as soon as the phone turned on it started to smoke and caught fire.”

When contacted regarding the incident, the Apple Support Twitter account said that iPhones exploding is “definitely not expected behavior.”

Furthermore, Apple also offered to look into it further via Twitter DMs and most probably start an investigation to see what was the reason behind the iPhone X exploding while charging.
