Apple’s big bet is obviously the iPhone 14 lineup, but given the previous series continues to be available at a lower price, it’s not a surprise that many people end up buying an iPhone 13.
However, Apple says the standard 14 iPhone is a much better purchase than the iPhone 13 Pro, and it’s all for a very simple reason. Despite having the same hardware under the hood, the iPhone 14 offers longer battery life thanks to the way components are aligned internally, as Apple eventually managed to get extra space for a larger battery.
Then, it offers easier repairability and is lighter, not to mention that overall, it’s a cheaper device.
Richard Dinh, Apple senior director of iPhone design, says this kind of work has been taking place since the iPhone 5 era.
