Apple Says 2018 iPad Pro Bending Is a Feature, Not a Bug

The Bendgate saga is about to receive a new sequel, as Apple has recently confirmed that the 2018 iPad Pro can indeed bend in certain conditions.

And yet, this time the company says it’s not a defect, and you should by no means be worried that the performance of the device would be affected.

iPhone 6 Plus is the device that invented what we call Bendgate today, and while in this case Apple acknowledged the problem and addressed it with an improved chassis on the iPhone 6s Plus, the company embraces a different approach for the 2018 iPad Pro.

In the last few weeks, several customers who purchased the 2018 iPad Pro said their devices were bent just out of the box or suffered from this while they were using the tablets.

Wi-Fi and LTE versions affected
