Apple Reportedly Ordered 70 Million OLED Panels from Samsung

Apple is busy working on its anniversary iPhone 8, set to release in September, alongside the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. A new report by Nikkei Asian Review quotes sources saying that Apple placed an order for 70 million OLED panels from Samsung.

Apple won’t release order details for various iPhone components, but reports from a few months ago stated that the Cupertino company placed an order for 100 million 5.5-inch AMOLED panels from Samsung for its 2017 iPhone. Other reports claimed that the two companies reached a $4.3 billion agreement for additional 60 million OLED panels, thus revealing Apple’s optimism when it comes to the upcoming iPhone 8.
