Apple Releases iCloud Passwords Extension for Chrome on Windows

Apple has silently released the iCloud Passwords extension for Chrome on Windows, finally giving Microsoft users a way to access the passwords they store in the cloud on Apple’s services.

As you could easily guess by simply reading the name of the extension, its purpose is to bring iCloud passwords to the world of Windows.

So if you previously saved your passwords with Safari in Apple’s cloud, now you can access them on a Windows device using Google Chrome.

“iCloud Passwords allows you to use the same strong Safari passwords you create on your Apple device, with Chrome on Windows,” Apple explains.

Available for all Chromium browsers

Of course, the extension doesn’t work only on Google Chrome but on the entire army of Chromium-powered browsers, including Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi, Opera and others.
