Apple Planning to Use BOE Displays on More iPhone 15 Models

While for many this may come as a shock, the displays that Apple currently uses on the iPhone are made by none other than long-time rival Samsung.

At the same time, part of the screens are supplied by China-based BOE, while LG builds OLED panels for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

On the other hand, it’s not a secret that Apple has been working around the clock on reducing the reliance on certain companies, and this is why it’s investing so big in the in-house development of certain components. The Apple Silicon is the living proof on this front, and now Apple is reportedly planning to take another step in the same direction.

While the Cupertino-based iPhone maker isn’t yet ready to manufacture its very own displays, the company is planning to reduce the number of screens ordered from rival Samsung.
