Apple Outs iOS/iPadOS 13.1.1 to Fix Security Issue for Third-Party Keyboard Apps

Apple released today a minor security update to the latest iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 operating systems for iPhone and iPad devices to address an important security issue, as well as several other bugs and regressions.

The iOS 13.1.1 and iPadOS 13.1.1 software updates are now available to download for all supported iPhone and iPad devices fixing a critical security issue that could allow third-party keyboard apps, such as Microsoft’s SwiftKey or Google’s GBoard, to get full access of the device.

On top of that, the iOS 13.1.1 and iPadOS 13.1.1 updates also fix issues that could prevent devices from restoring from backup, an issue that could cause the Reminders app to sync slowly, a Safari bug that would re-enable search suggestions, as well as an issue that could cause the battery to drain faster.
