Apple No Longer Top Phone Maker in the US Despite iPhone 7 Beating Samsung’s S8

Apple has once again lost the top sales place in the United States, as Samsung’s Galaxy S8 sold very well in the three months ending May 2017, helping the South Korean firm overtake its rival.

Samsung’s market share improved from 32.9 percent in the previous 3-month period to 36.2 percent, and while this is an important growth, it’s actually 1.1 percent below the sales share the company reached in the first period the year before.

Apple, on the other hand, is currently at 34 percent, up no less than 4.7 percent versus 2016, especially thanks to strong sales of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus.
