Apple is Top Smartphone Maker In the US, Samsung Falls Second

A new report reveals that Apple is the most popular OEM among US smartphone subscribers, but iOS came second behind Android when it comes to the top smartphone platform. The report reveals data gathered for the three months period ending in January 2017.

Apple’s iPhone took the top spot during the holidays, as the company managed to take over 44.6% of the US smartphone market, up 2.3% from the average market share in the three months ending October 2016. When it comes to global smartphone profits, Apple grabbed 79%, while Samsung 14.6%.
