Apple Gives Up on Its Controversial iPhone Browser Change

iOS 15 is projected to come with lots of improvements and new features, but on the other hand, the beta builds shipped by Apple to developers and public testers also revealed the new operating system update might bundle a series of changes that not everybody would be a big fan of.

One of them concerns Safari, the default browser that many people stick with pretty much because it does its job very well (not to mention the improvements it has received lately).

Someone at Apple had the brilliant idea to move the address bar from the top of the screen to the bottom side, possibly in an attempt to make it easier for users to type something with just one hand.

Given the address bar can therefore be tapped easier because it’s now located at the bottom of the screen, Apple enabled this new setting by default for everyone in iOS 15 beta builds, hoping users would love it just as much as it does.
