Apple’s AirTags are designed with privacy in mind, so they ping nearby Apple devices to alert users they might be tracked.
As we know already, this still doesn’t stop those with nefarious purposes from using AirTags to keep track of other individuals, but at least, it’s a way to stay in the know when someone might actually do the whole thing.
But as it turns out, having an AirPad moving with you isn’t only a privacy violation but also a headache from a battery perspective. Users claim that nearby AirTags cause a massive battery drain on their iPads, and while some say the glitch has already been resolved with the latest software updates, others claim this isn’t the case.
